Western Boho Styled Wedding Shoot at The Coutt's Centre for Western Canadian Heritage

A western boho styled wedding shoot, dreamed, designed and documented by Twisted Tree Photography. Leather, lace and a lot of love is what made this styled shoot come to life. When I first dreamed about this shoot I had a lot of components I wanted to incorporate.

I knew I wanted it to be dramatic, but also sensually casual. I wanted it to be boho but also country. And if there was ever a dream to come true, this was it. The incredible women that came together to make this happen were truly remarkable and had me in tears by the end of the shoot.

Tying together rich colors and varying textiles this shoot is definitely a country boho brides dream. From the leather wrapped bouquet, feather earrings, to the skull and crate cake stand this shoot was wildly romantic. “Just because you’re paired up, doesn’t mean you are tied down. Show off your free spirit with loosely tied florals, leather accents and lots of lace.” -The Confetti Wedding Magazine 2018. I cannot wait to officially share this with you, it has been a long time coming and something I am truly proud of!

Each and every one of the woman involved is a true master in what they do, Kim of BoxSmith created beautifully unique gift boxes, Jordan Dean of Jordan Dean Makeup Artistry created a wonderful smokey eye, Sage Woolsey was our hair artist and did such a BOMB job keeping it elegant but sexy. Shelby of Wildrose Retro modelled and was a complete knock out. She is an exceptional western fashion influencer but is also such an incredible and kind human being. I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to model for me. The ladies of Cottonwood Bridal provided us with two elegant lacey but still boho gowns, and Cody & Sioux provided us with some jaw dropping Double D Ranch boots. My good friend Su Johanson stepped up to my challenge and made not only a beautiful naked cake but it was also hella delicious! The unique and stunning florals were created by Beryl of Juniper Floral in Nanton, and they were wrapped with an equally stunning leather wrap by Becky of Prairie Rose Custom Leather and Beadwork. The props were provided by Monika of All Thru the House in Okotoks, as well as from Jolene from Bertie’s General Store in Black Diamond. Day of assistance was provided by KG Design. And to top it all off I was lucky enough to get to plan and execute this shoot at one of my favorite places, The Coutt’s Centre of Western Canadian Heritage located near Nanton.
